Why can’t my student just do everything on their own (e.g. self-study)?

Off2Class is designed to be teacher-led.  There are already many great self-study tools available on the web but we believe real language acquisition requires a teacher. We didn’t want to build a platform that could work without the teacher — otherwise the students could just buy it themselves instead of going to your school!

That’s why Off2Class needs the teacher. For example:

• The teacher assigns the placement test

• The teacher creates the learning plan

• The teacher enrolls the student into lessons (which the student can then access later on their own)

• The teacher assigns the homework (which the student can then complete on their own)

• The teacher gives feedback on the homework

Keep in mind that it takes very little time for the teacher to do these things, but it’s necessary to have the teacher take these actions instead of the student.
