We focus on your English language skills with an emphasis on the workplace. We’ll do exercises to improve your reading and listening comprehension, your speaking skills, vocabulary (with an emphasis on phrasal verbs and idioms), and grammar. We use authentic materials that you deal with on a daily basis: emails, presentations, business articles, and role-plays of scenarios you may come across at work.

As a result of your taking Workplace English lessons with me, you will improve your:
- Public speaking
- Presentation skills

- General level of Workplace English communication.
Many of my clients ask “How long will it take before I see improvement?” The answer to this question is based on three factors:
- What are your goals?
- How frequent, regular, and effective are our lessons together?
- How much practice do you do outside of our lessons?
My experience is that the overriding factor in improving your English language skills is the third: how much practice you do outside of our lessons. I will provide the materials, structure, and guidance necessary for you to improve, but it is up to you to do the work. I ask all of my students to commit to at least one hour of dedicated English language practice every day, outside of our regularly scheduled lesson time.

About me

I am a native speaker of English, born in the US, in California. I’m a corporate trainer and a TEFL-certified English teacher. I have over 35 years of international business experience, with companies such as IKEA, Nike, and Starbucks. I’ve worked in the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and have taught people of all ages, from corporate executives to high school students. As well as being TEFL certified, I have a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA.
