Thank you for visiting my profile. If you feel the need to improve your English, know that I am here to help you feel more confident as you speak, listen, or write in English. After just a few lessons with me, you’ll be able to express yourself with clarity and effectiveness. Your thoughts will find the right words, even in a foreign language, and you’ll also be pronouncing them correctly. The way that I am able to do this is through a powerful language learning platform that will assess exactly what your language learning needs are. It will allow me to identify your areas of improvement, so we can use our time together very effectively.

When you first sign up with me, you will take a placement test and at our first session, we will discuss your needs and I will explain the personalized language learning plan I’ve prepared just for you.

A conversational approach

My approach to helping you in this endeavor is conversational. You will *actively* use English while carrying out speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities online. No text books. You won’t waste time reviewing a lot of grammar, but you’ll receive feedback from me on how to improve your pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary. I have a Business Degree and I’ve had years of experience in the corporate world. I can help you understand the difference between formality and informality and help you use appropriate vocabulary.

You can expect to evaluate your current level of English. You will define your language journey and objectives. I will help you reach your goals in the shortest time possible offering ad hoc advice on what you should do to improve. During each lesson you will work on listening, reading, speaking and writing.

About me

Hi! I come from the United States, but I currently live near beautiful Venice, Italy. I am a CELTA certified tutor with over 25 years of experience. My professional career started in the business world. I have a degree in “Global Business and Public Policy” and significant experience as Operations Manager and Marketing and Sales support with American multinational companies. During that time, I also taught English in the evenings, but now – for the last 10 years, my passion has become my profession. I love traveling with my family, learning languages, and good food!
