About You

Does your adoptive child struggle with English? Does your child need assistance outside your family to improve their English? Book classes with me and your student will be given a new course to better their pronunciation, conversation, understanding, grammar, reading, and more.
Your adoptive child will get a chance to learn English with a native speaker whose passion is to help families with children adopted without strong English skills. Students work in a classroom that is fun and constructive.

Our lessons together will focus on reading, pronunciation, grammar, and most importantly conversation. I will give your child a sense of confidence in their English skills. My classes are challenging and fun. Our time together will not be stressful. We will get to know each other. I will answer all their questions.
My lessons focus on taking the pressure off parents with adopted children who do not speak English well. We will use slides and games to improve their ability to communicate. The students ability to communicate and understand will improve with every class. They will look forward to every class with Teacher Jacque.

What you can expect
.
As your teacher I will focus on the individual needs of each student. As an adoptive parent myself I understand some of the dynamics present in a house hold with adoptive children who cannot understand and communicate their needs. Your student will have an opportunity to develop a relationship with me in the classroom that will make the “work on English” fun. We will use slides and play games during our lessons.
You can expect me to be a patient and helpful teacher. Your child will not experience stress or anxiety. We will review the lesson and they will leave with a short homework assignment. My classes are 1 hour or 30 minutes scheduled for 1 or 2 times a week.

About me
.
I have been teaching English as a Second Language for the past 2 years. During that time I have taught hundreds of children from non-English speaking countries. I am a certified teacher to teach English online. My certificates are: TESOL; Foundational and Advanced, TOEFL Primary. When not teaching I spend time with my two teenage daughters who are adopted from China.
I also am an actor and perform in both dramas and musicals throughout the year. My experience with teaching spans over the past decade as I have homeschooled my girls and taught other children in grades Kindergarten to high school.
