How to teach this lesson

When teaching this lesson, have your student focus on speaking, not learning new grammar and vocabulary. When introducing vocabulary we recommend you encourage the student to talk about each image. Then, you can offer the vocabulary word without asking them to memorize it. The images and vocabulary are presented to encourage the student, rather than force them to learn new lexical items.

Don’t forget, this lesson plan is fun to teach. That is because it is full of questions and speaking prompts for you to ask and a student to reflect on. We suggest that the student be allowed to speak without interruption from the teacher. Instead, focus on having the student retell events. Lastly, as you conclude the lesson we believe it is a great idea to return to the title slide to show the student what they have achieved.
