International Gateway Kelowna – Private ESL School – Canada

Canada

International Gateway Kelowna (IGK) is Kelowna’s original language school. IGK started out in 2002. Kelowna is one of Canada’s premier tourist destinations (wine, golf, skiing, water sports). In addition, it is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada.

International Gateway Kelowna offers full and part part-time English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. In addition, IGK offers TESOL certification, volunteer placements and a large selection of short-term English and cultural and activity programs. These programs are designed for adults, executives, and seniors. Further, IGK offers high school preparation and placement.

Finally, they also offer the widest variety of summer and winter camps in Canada for ages 8-18.

IGK hosts 50-150 students year round from over 20 countries. Their main student body comes from Japan, Korea, Mexico, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Quebec. The average age is 22 and the average length of stay is 12 weeks.

How does International Gateway Kelowna use Off2Class?

IGK uses Off2class  as the main part of all of their morning classes which focus on core skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. As a result, mixing Off2Class’ interactive digital lesson content with other course materials provides a healthy variety of materials to IGK’s students. Many of these students are in intensive ESL programs where variety is critical to maintaining energy and motivation levels!

"We use Off2class as the core part of our curriculum for morning classes which focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. "
