Moore Public Schools Improves English Learner Outcomes with Off2Class

District: Moore Public Schools, Moore, Oklahoma

Population: Grades 6–12 Multilingual Learners (MLLs)

Overview: Moore Public Schools partnered with Off2Class to strengthen English Language Development (ELD) across its secondary multilingual learner programs.

With a focus on consistent classroom implementation and measurable outcomes, the district used Off2Class to support instruction while tracking student progress across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The result: students using Off2Class demonstrated significantly higher growth than non-users — with English learner outcomes exceeding national averages across nearly every domain.

The Challenge

Moore Public Schools serves a diverse and evolving population of multilingual learners.

District leadership needed a way to:

  • Drive consistent English language instruction across classrooms
  • Better understand student progress across domains
  • Support teachers with effective, easy-to-use resources

At the same time, the district faced:

  • Manual rostering challenges at the start of the school year
  • Variability in classroom usage
  • Declining newcomer enrollment, leading to underutilized licenses

Implementation Highlights

Off2Class was implemented across grades 6-12, with strong adoption across secondary classrooms.

Teachers used the platform for both instruction and assignments, creating a consistent learning experience for students.

Between February and March alone:

  • 119 lessons were launched
  • Students spent ~13 hours in lessons
  • 540 homework assignments were completed

Teachers actively engaged with the platform and provided ongoing feedback, contributing to a strong partnership with the Off2Class team.

Grades 9-12

  • Composite: 15 vs 9 (national) vs 4 (non-users)
  • Reading: 17 vs 12 vs 11

More Usage Drives Stronger Outcomes

Student growth was closely tied to how much Off2Class was used:

  • No participation: 4.51 growth
  • 10–40 activities: 18 growth
  • 40+ activities: 20 growth

Even moderate use (10–40 activities) was associated with substantial gains.

Why It Matters

Moore Public Schools’ results show a clear pattern:

  • Students using Off2Class achieved higher growth across all domains
  • Outcomes exceeded both non-users and national benchmarks
  • Strong gains were observed even without high levels of usage

These results give district leaders and teachers clear visibility into what is working — and where increased usage can drive even greater impact.

“Off2Class has become a core part of how we support our multilingual learners. Our students are consistently achieving meaningful, measurable growth — so much so that even in the face of tough budget decisions, it’s the one tool we would keep.”

Teacher & District Perspective

Teachers across the district describe Off2Class as a core instructional tool. They highlight:

  • High-quality ACCESS-aligned materials
  • A platform that supports both instruction and independent practice
  • A responsive team that listens to feedback

The district has also shown strong engagement beyond the classroom:

  • Interested in a teacher-facing data session to increase adoption
  • Exploring participation in a formal, grant-funded research study

Looking Ahead

Building on strong results, Moore Public Schools is planning to:

  • Expand Off2Class into Grade 6 and potentially Grade 5
  • Increase usage among lower-adoption classrooms
  • Deliver early August onboarding and training to drive teacher buy-in
  • Implement monthly usage and efficacy reporting
  • Explore future use cases, including summer newcomer programs

Conclusion

Moore Public Schools demonstrates how consistent use of Off2Class can support meaningful English language growth across multiple domains.

With strong teacher adoption, measurable outcomes, and clear opportunities for expansion, the district is well-positioned to continue building on this success.
