When I have the first trial with an ideal student I always get excited because I know what we will accomplish with our lessons together. You may be unsure of how to put all the vocabulary you have learned into proper sentences and struggle to communicate successfully. Through conversational practice on different topics, we start using vocabulary and grammar in a more practical way. The student is happy too, because they are able to tell me what topics they would like to talk about, I don’t always decide.

A conversational approach

.

Everybody has a niche, mine is conversational English. I use different topics to open up your mind to think about a topic in a more detailed manner. I always look for exercises and topics that will interest the specific student. I don’t just do conversational English. If my student wants to practice listening, writing or reading I make sure to accommodate that too. I’m super patient and love it when the student takes the lead.

What you can expect

In our trial lesson we do a needs analysis. This helps me as the teacher get to know you and find out exactly what you want to achieve through our lessons together. In this way it’s easy for me to prepare lessons that you would benefit from most. As mentioned before, each lesson will be about a new topic. We will learn new vocabulary linked to the topic, talk about it and answer questions about it too. I will make sure to give you a few links to good websites where you can practice different English skills too, like reading and listening.

About me

I’ve been an online English teacher for just over two years. It started off as a side-gig but I then came to love it so much that it is now my full time job! My favorite hobbies are cooking, reading, and CrossFit, and I’m 27 years old. I do believe that having hobbies is very important because everyone should at least have one thing they love doing. I hope you will give me the opportunity to help you “love” speaking the leading language of international discourse as much as I love cooking!
