How can I tell if I’ve assigned homework or a student has either started or completed an assignment?

Once the student completes the homework assignment, the teacher gets an email notification by default.  In the student management section, the homework status column tells you the status of the homework assignment. The icons in the actions column also tell you which actions are available: 

• A + sign means the homework hasn’t been assigned yet
• A gear icon means the homework has been assigned
• An eye icon means the student has begun or submitted the assignment
• A clock icon means the homework has been assigned multiple times
